I did. It wouldn't let me do that.
I'm in the hackint0sh IRC chat and they suggested I try restoring from my PC instead of my Mac so I'm giving that a shot now....
tried from the PC and still...
"The iPhone "iPhone" could not be restored. An unknown error occurred (1604)"
