Recommend me a data transfer program

I used to use iPhone PC Suite for 1.1.4 but have just "upgraded" to 2.0.2. There is a beta build for iPhone PC Suite but it crashes for me and thus, doesn't work.
What else is out there that you all would recommend.
I need something that will allow me to retrieve photos, upload themes, icons, etc.
EDIT: Does no one use a 3rd party application?
What is everyone using??
