Disk Space Problem

Can someone develop a new app that moves the app directory over to the the media stuff so that we can get more disck space for those of us that dont understand winscp or putty or anything

A simple app that can do this for us to free disk space would be great

Thanks all

I don't see a need for this. People need to understand SSH for numerous reasons. It would be better if you educated yourself with these programs. Honestly.

SSH is NOT hard. If you're having difficulty grasping it, you will have difficulty in modern life. Seriously.

Learn. Read forums. Try. That's the only way you'll ever grow. I've gone through so much in regards to my phone, and I keep on learning. That's what is important. We are here to help if you mess up, but not to hold your hand and do things for you. Come on now. It is very VERY simple to ssh.

In the new Installer it will not display the amount of space available.

How to install Apps on Media partition

4. Go to /etc folder
5. Right click on [fstab] and Edit (Note: Right Click.jpg and Edit.jpg)
6. Remove the [noexec] words: (Note: Original.jpg)
Origninal: /dev/disk0s1 / hfs rw 0 1
/dev/disk0s2 /private/var hfs rw, noexec 0 2
After remove it should look like this: (Note: Delete.jpg)
/dev/disk0s1 / hfs rw 0 1
/dev/disk0s2 /private/var hfs rw, 0 2
7. Save it and close.
8. Go to /<root>
9. Right Click on [Applications] folder and select [Move to...] (Note: Move Application.jpg)
10. Move it to this location: /var/root/*.* (Note: Move to.jpg)
11. Once you click [OK] your WinSCP will run and popup error message. (Note: This is NORMAL just ignore it and don't click on [Abort])
12. Let it run about 1 minute are so then [WinSCP] it done moving and you no longer see [Applications].
13. Don't worries your [Applications] folder still in /var/root/ directory.

Shouldn't number 15 be like below?

15. Window will popup and type in: (Note: Symbolic link.jpg)
Link/shortcut file:
Applications
Point link/shortcut to:
/var/root/Applications/

Pointing the link to /var/root/Applications/Applications/ would look for a second applications directory in the applications folder.

Opps! Sorry man I make my folder duplicate twice! Should look like this: /var/root/Applications/ instead of this /var/root/Applications/Applications/ Thanks dude! I am writing this tutorial instead of using Putty for command line. I know many people have no clues or having a hard times to understand command line.
