Try setting it to 4777 that should do the trick. Make sure to check again after setting it. just right click again and see. Apply to the clickonce and info.plist. Even restart the phone. Hope this helps.

WinSCP doesn't let me set it to 4777, everytime i set it to 4777 and click ok. When back to check it again it return to 0777, what do you think I should do.

Thank you.

Well that is strange. You put the app in the right place right along with the other app's in the applications folder, right? Winscp should let you do that, I honestly don't know why it doesn't. Try to search the winscp page for tips. You can also use iLiberty in windows I think, but I never used it.
PS: Try if you can set any other file's permission to 4777 to see if it works. Just to narrow it down, if it's winscp or the app itself.

Yes I place the app in the right spot, and I try to set it for a different program, same result still.

Is there a specify way to set permission using winSCP? maybe I not do it right. Please help me.

Well that never happend to me, you are doing something wrong but what. Check the the help page about using winscp or try out iLiberty. I don't know how else to help you. Here is a page that describes using and setting permissions with winscp.

hi-

i've jailbroken the 2g phone v1.1.1 using idemocracy and was able to get the "ClickOnce.app" folder and contents in the /Application folder on the phone. problem is (and our actual hard button for home doesn't work. period. so this is app is much needed!) when i click on the home icon, the pad/paper image shows up, then the home button icon shows up on the upper left hand corner of the screen. i can drag that icon to whereever i want, but that's it.

since my home button is actually broken (not working), how can i set this clickonce app to work?

our problem is described here:
iphone 2g home button doesn't work? check for lint and corrosion

thanks!

also, now installer doesn't seem to work either (perhaps due to the jailbreak?)... when i click on it, i get the installer screen (white only), and then it goes back to the springboard. huh?

btw, to the user who's having problems with winscp and 4777 - same problem here. i also went ahead and ssh'd into the phone and performed a "chmod 4777 ClickOnce.app" (i think permissions took), but same problem as i described.
