It should definitely cost more than $9.99! This game is BY FAR, the best App Store game! I can only IMAGINE the games that are coming out soon for the iPhone. This game is definitely top of the line!

I pirated this and wouldn't pay 99c for it. everytime you turn it goes into a "drift" (really just a super-sharp turn in this game) and you run into walls every second

you control left and right turns by taping the screen..like hold your thumbs on the screen. At first I was tyring to move the iphone left to right then I realize that didn't work..lol

Anyways....

The controls are great, and drifting works perfectly. As with anything new, theres a learning curve, and thankfully you're given 3 different ways to steer your vehicle. I can't praise this game enough, worth every penny.

Perhaps the biggest benefit the iphone gets from this game in it's library is a standard for which all other iphone games will be measured against.

the belkin thing is probably real, its the only possible direction for apple to go at this point...iphone's gonna be a gaming device (does everything else already), and they'll accept controllers from other companies eventually, probably just get that "not accepted by apple" message... (not until there's a more expensive apple version)

oh yeah (the topic, duh.) ASPHALT is cool. i wish it was a bit less expensive, but not because of the quality. it's because of how much money i've carelessly thrown at the AppStore... because i'm ... i don't know... an idiot. i guess. annnnyway, the coolest thing about it is the store that functions like full console racing games (you buy tires n sh*t.)

also (sorry) the tap controls are stupid. the tilt controls are pretty good. the steering wheel controls allow the most delicate turning (you dont drift all crazy n sh*t.)

should you buy it...? (whatever.)

TAp controls are the best. Destroyed quite a few guys over wifi with these controls. Tilt controls suck for me in any game but cro mag and motoracer.

Get into a drift and then tap the opposite direction to control it. Duhhh.


Oh yeah for wifi gameplay, first have one phone click join game and then make another iphone host a game then it will work.

Its not online yet unfortunately. For online gameplay check out galcon.

You should research the game a little bit more before doing a vid review. The multiplayer is local wifi only at the moment. You dont actually "buy" cars. Your money should be thought of more along the lines of exp points. You unlock different cars and modded parts at different money levels.

Anyways the rest of the review is pretty good.
