i concur. Just sent a test email to my .mac account but replaced it with .me and it went through instantly although all my account settings still refer to .mac

This is an ignorant sounding marketing gimmick. For once Jobs screwed up. >mac is supposed to represent Mac in a way that doesn't make me think of colorful building blocks and kids playing in the yard.

.mac was more serious sounding and appeals to a larger .mac based crowd. .me was chosen as a wide spread name as jobs eliminates the mac purism once and for all.
