Currently have an 8gb iphone 1st gen. and used the newest Winpwn 2.5 expert mode. Root partition is 700mb, custom boot logos, etc. IPSW builds successfully and am able to upload it to my phone, everything works fine, wifi, email, but when i go to install MiVtones from the MMi repo it says it installs, then when i go to restart my phone it get's hung up at the boot logo.

I've repwned my phone several times today all different options and to no avail, this program does not work with the new 2.0.2 firmware...can anyone else confirm this or am i doing something wrong?

Edit: after MiVtones is installed instead of clicking "reload springboard" from cydia i immediately hit the home button, i then went into settings>mivtones and verified my account information. also restarted after this and it still crashed my iphone. help help help :-P thanks if you've solved this issue or confirmed that this program doesn't work currently with this fw.

I've got a 16gb 3G and exactly same happening with mine. I don't think it works with 2.0.2 ???????

Yup. Same over here. I had to restore my iphone twice!

Though I read that you need to install Dynamic Module Loader before you install MivTones.

Quick install:
1)add the source/s above
2)find Dynamic Module Loader (under iFoneTec), dl/install
3)find VideosTone (under System), dl/install
4)find VT Update Pack (under iFoneTec), dl/install
5)respring, then restart iphone
6)go into your settings, scroll all the way to the bottom, select VideosTone
7)choose your video and/or ringtone, then enable VideosTone, it should respring
8)call your iphone to test

Which is probably why the app hung the iphone. It didn't have the support. Cydia is not working for me right now and the ifonetec section is not appearing anywhere.

You are a gentleman and a scholar, don't ever let anyone tell you any different. You have no idea how many times I restored my phone within the past two days trying to get MiVtones to work. Thanks a lot

you would think that it would install the loader because it is a dependency. A boo boo on someones part. I also found if u know the VIP source you can download the program without installing anything else , which is what I did, but I did not pay for the program so still don't have the advanced options available :-/

I did that, I even paid the 20 dollars for the full version because I like the software a lot and wanted to support the developers. But it still won't work on 2.0.2 for me..

I can't find Dynamic Module Loader on Cydia because the iFonetec section won't show up. I can get it to show on installer but that gives me an error saying, "Unable to decode package more info at www.iFonetec.com". This is really frustrating me so if anyone could help me out, i would greatly appreciate it.

Try this source for installer instead. http://www.mivtones.com
The reason the cydia source is gone is because it had a problem. According to tech support from ifonetec the installer source is supposed to be flawless.

I just tried and www.Mivtones.com doensn't load. It's says, "invalid source".

Glad to be of any kind of help. It was rather annoying to restore my phone so many times.

Sadly, I don't think Mivtones works on Installer for me. Oh well.
