this is somewhat involved with this topic so i figured that i would see if anybody had any thoughts...

would it be possible to add another menu for settings within preferences.app such as the rSBT and Summerboard settings...

this would clean up your screen and might be a very useful mod for some..

is it possible or anybody know how you could do something like this?

That only works if the plist file is in XML format. Binary plists can't be editted directly on the PC.

If you have Perl installed, you can use my Perl script to convert between binary and XML on Windows to edit any plist:

I downloaded/installed activeperl 5.8.8 and ran your script on XP. got the error: died on line 647. Does it matter which version of perl you use?

Touch settings do not work for me, my touch screen remains the same on all settings - too damn sensitive. Anyone had this problem?

Hi, does anybody know how to set the setting from a PC. I am asking because the top of my screen is unresponsive and I am trying to fix it with this method so I want to set it to 0 but i cant using the Iphone. So can i set something from ssh.

Too bad it wasn't like a massive find or something, and that bluetooth was actually hidden in the iPod Touch

and i can't touch installer for install ziphone ibrickr fix.

all icons upper installer worked. i can enter setting but no installer

ive used note pad.
Ive used nano and vi never has any issues editing plists.
You can ssh into your phone from the PC or the phone.

Guess Ive never run into a binary plist file.

i can't use winscp because ssh not present in iphone and i can't jailbreak 1.1.1 because emergency can't touched for keyboard ibriker not worked after ziphone

Unfortunately, I'm pretty sure that the issues with the dead portions of the screen are all hardware related, not software. This mod to the settings plist doesn't do ya anymore good than a restore would...
