Browsing thru my iPhone over SSH, and I stumbled into the /System/Library/KeyboardDictionaries folder....I only use English, no plans to change that, and noticed that there are entries for German, UK English, and French (totalling 5.35 mb), which I obviously don't need.

So, what, if any, would be the ramifications of simply deleting those files and freeing up the space?

Make a copy of the files onto your PC using WinScp or whatever, then delete the ones that are on the phone. It's not like you really need them since you won't be switching between languages like you mentioned but it might be wise to back them up just incase.

Yeah, I already backed 'em up, just want to be "sure" before I delete them.

I mean, it'll save over 5mb of space, which is pretty big for the system partition...

Ah well, I'll delete them tonight. Worst case scenario is I have to restore, right?
