iPhone 2.0 Toolchain
|
I've been trying for the past 2 weeks to get an environment set up so I can start coding for my iPhone 3g with firmware 2.1. I do not have a mac and the toolchains for Windows and Linux don't seem to be able to compile for 2.x firmware without serious modification. I've come to the conclusion that using the toolchain on the iPhone would be best for me. I installed the iPhone 2.0 Toolchain through Cydia and everything went smoothly up until I tried compiling. First, I compiled a very basic app which did absolutely nothing and it went fine. Then I tried a some of the hello world apps from a few places including from theiphonewiki.com. Most of them come back with a "cannot find protocol declaration for 'UIApplicationDelegate'" error among others. After scouring the Internet for a solution, I think the problem is that I'm missing some include files. Can anyone explain to me (in extremely simple instructions) how to get the required files and where I'm supposed to put them. I've also read that they may need to be patched, but I can't find anything on how to do that or where to even get the patch. Thank you.
Anyone?
