Excellent app btw.

1. If I load video without sound and aiff ringtone separate, then it rings only one time - no loop. That is wrong.
2. Telephone vibrates even if vibration is switched off in settings.
3. I will try to put my own video sample now.

I can't get this to show up on installer even after installing the source and refreshing. Thanks to zavrus1 I was able to download it through rapidshare but now that I have the file I have no idea how to install it. I do have WinSCP so if someone would be so kind to tell me where to install all the files it would be much appreciated.

I am trying to use a silent video with a seperate ringtone but I cannot get the ringtone to work. I've used many formats such as .m4v .aiff .mp4 .mp3 but none work. What should i use and is there a time constraint?

This app is actually quite useless in it's current form. Hopefully it'll work better in later releases.

1. It's too friggen difficult to get a video to look good and play correctly as a "VideosTone." They even suggest that you buy a $40 piece of software to convert your video to the right size?!?
2. Even if you do get the video to look right when you're ringing, try putting your phone on silent. Oh yeah, it still plays the audio. The only way to combat this is to pull the audio from your video all together and then create a ringtone of the same bit and upload them separately to their respective folders.
3. Once you have the audio separate from the video you have to set them both to play separately in the preference pane... but they don't play at the same time!!! There's really no way to sync the audio with the video!
4. Are you kidding me?!? I just wasted two hours of my life converting and cropping and moving files to find out that it doesn't work. Yeah, if I wanted to have audio that's 3 seconds ahead of my video, I'd love this app.
As it stands... it is completely worthless.

You put the files in /var/mobile/Media/VideoTone/Video

In the zip file there are 2 folders and one single file. I have one folder named Ring and it contains two files, .DS_Store and Default.aif. I have another folder named Video and it has 7 files including 6 videos and .DS_Store. Along with those 2 folders I see another single file called .DS_Store.

Do all of those files go in the folder you mentioned?

I installed the ifonetec software dynamic module loader first like it says and its made my fone freeze up.Nothing works apart from switching the fone on and off,cant read my texts or anything.Any clues

i think i am experiencing the same thing.. i converted a music vid and made a ringtone that was intended to be synced with the video (lip movements and all).. but it seems the video lags a bit to come in when an incoming call is here.. for example, when i called myself, the ringtone would start and i would have a blank screen.. then a second or 2 later, the video would show up.. is this the app or is my iphone?

Everything works great here except for when the phone goes on silent, the ringer doesn't. I know this was mentioned before but I just wanted to add this is a great app IMHO, I know the video size will be figured out by someone. I already downloaded some other videos that were in the repo. It was 30mb but well worth it. Beware though, for reason unknown it took forever to download the program as well as the videos. I suspect that might be due to the large number of people downloading it yesterday but not sure. Let it be though, it will finish!

I took simple video of my friend from iPhone with iPhoneVIDEORECORDER, put it to my Mac, killed out the sound in Quicktime player, cropped, saved back to iPhone, assigned standard OldPhone.aiff as a sound and voila!

Problems still are -
can not switch off vibration;
sound only plays once (no loop);
can not assign that to a person;
can not combine it with photographed contacts - it is needed to have selection.
