iPod "restrictions" Safe?

I was wondering what happened when you enabled restrictions on the iPod. Well, obviously, the icon disappears. Well, more than that happens:
When you try and open the line through command line, you can't. Trying to follow a link directly to the app store (like the one in the Spore review) give you an invalid URL error.
Therefore, more than just the icon is hidden. Next up: trying to open it with Dock (I'll get back to you guys on thais).
Edit: Sorry to say that the iPod failed. App Store opened up and allowed me to install the app "Who's Hot?". Many App Launcher overrode the restriction. Sorry, parents.
