Ok excuse my being a newbie but here goes. I decided to mess with the new quickPWN to jaolbreak my touch. It worked great! I now have a jailbroken touch. Now here is my question and I see it has been answered but I am not very clear.

Now if I want to bring my touch back to factory settings do I just do a restore in itunes or do I have to put it in DFU mode and restore the firmware using the shift restore?

The reason I ask is because I just got an iPhone and was thinking of giving the touch to the girlfriend. Also, if I ever have to send it back to apple I want to fully restore it.

Also, I used WinPwn to unlock the 1st gen iPhone and it worked great. Will the process for restorig be the same for the iPhone as the touch.

If you want it 'fresh and new', just click 'Restore' in iTunes and set it up as new and you should be clean as a whistle for both iPod and iPhone.
