I have a 1gen 4g iphone. with 2.0.1 firmware. I previously had it unlocked but wanted to add cydia so i re unlocked it. However it accidently updated when i used itunes to restore. It locked back up again. I started the unlocking process again, but when it gets to the step to put it in DFU mode, it comes up with the error " Failed: attepmted to read or write protected memory. This is often an indication that other memory is corrupt."

Does this mean that my iphone is trashed now? it still turns on and acts like a locked phone. I can send/recieve calls using emergency call.

Can i fix it what should i do? Any advice or help would be majorly appreciated.
