I got used 2g iphone 8 GB recently and it is already unlocked to use any sim card. It is running 1.1.4 version FW. I want to install new applications but may be i need to have FW 2.0 and above. Now the question is how do i upgrade to 2.2 FW. I have list of applications on my iphone out which few are not functioning and some them have expired. I m completely new to Apple so i might ask dumb questions, sorry for that. I have downloaded itunes latest version, my PC is running Win XP_service Pack 3, I have synced all my contacts, songs, etc. I downloaded some applications from itunes free applicationsi.e. ipint, nightstand, etc.... however i m unable to install them. I have gone through the forums hundred times but i m confused what to do????? I dont have wifi neither do i have internet connection on my iphone and my service provider Vodafone does not support 2G(India, mumbai). I have gone through lot of threads, please help......

i am at a complete loss. i was attempting to unlock my iphone 2.1 with pwnage and when it got to the flashing baseband screen, i waited over 2 hours and then got pissed and shut the phone down. now i can't even boot up the phone. any help here?
