Had my iphone 3g now for a few days and for the last two nights ive tried and tried and tried to upload my videos. Ive tried handbrake and Videora and tried all the different combinations of converting and I just cant get anything to upload to the iphone unless i buy it from itunes... i cant believe they make it this difficult.... its my phone i should be able to upload whatever i dam well please to it...

Am i missing something here?? Im just burnt out and ready to give up...Has anyone successfully uploaded their own video files to a 3g iphone??????

I use "DVD Decrypter" (free) to decript my DVD, then I use "Videora Ipod Converter" (also free) to convert it to Ipod format, throw it in Itunes and sync. Works everytime...and I mean on my first-gen Iphone AND my 3G Iphone.

that may work for dvd formats (ts folders etc) and those formats but trying to convert regular old wmv's, avi's, and mov's i cant for the life of me get them to upload to the iphone 3g, this is what i want to know if you have done... and as i said i also am using Videora Ipod Converter... but even though it says the latest version works for iphone 3g it doesnt have an option for that in the format selections...has iphone 1g, 2g, and a host of other iproducts but not iphone 3g.

Sorry for my english..

I use Xilisoft ipod Video Converter for my iPhone and it worked with any Video
i tried. Wmv, Avi, Divx and so on.

Maybe you have that Programm or you can test somewhere.

ignore draaki, that german PoS is spamming sucky software. Download some converted files from a torrent site and see if they work

Actually this is pretty good software. I use it and it works just fine.

Wingtip, the 3G plays video just fine, you're obviously doing something wrong

I know it plays video fine, if you buy it from itunes, which ive done... but no matter what options i choose in both the programs i mentioned itunes wont upload/sync it to the phone... it uploads my mp3 files just fine... so instead of just saying im doing something wrong how about helping with some specifics? Is it cause im trying to run those two in vista? Thats about the only thing i havent tried yet is running it in compatible mode for xp...

Yes i`m talking about the 3G , i have the 16GB version with T-Mobile Contract.
I have download Free-Software and that was totally crap.
Allways i get the "The Video is not playable oh the iPhone from iTunes"..
I give the Xilisoft converter a try and it worked.
Good or not is everyones personally opinion.

Yes i´m new and yes i´ll try to help. i don´t recommend to buy any software!
This Software is free to try on the homepage from xilisoft. so you don´t have to pay a buck. Whats the problem ? It´s only a try to help. If any other tool help him out its ok.
