I want to ssh into my phone and retrieve the pictures i have stored in it. the problem is that i synced different folders full of pictures to it and the only ones i can find are the ones stored in the camera roll. i was just wondering where are the other folders i had put in there.

Pictures that are synced to the iPhone are stored using the same mapping as Videos and Music. They are renamed and remapped. You'd have a tough time finding them manually. But if you want to try, they are stored in ~/Media/iTunes_Control

Long time lurker... finally something I can give back to this awesome community!

If you are trying to locate the pictures you have taken with the camera they are located in:

/private/var/mobile/Media/DCIM/100APPLE

I was having the problem with my PC not detecting the camera and not in the mood to reinstall the driver support I dug and was able to find the .JPG files in there.
