While trying to free up some disk space, I'm trying to follow this tutorial:

However, when I try to execute the command:
mv /Applications /private/var/Applications---- I get this message:
mv: /bin/: Permission denied
mv: /bin/: terminated with 1 (non-zero) status: Cross-device link


Any suggestions???

Well the first time I tried to do it manually I erased all my icons. I fixed that but now my SB prefs screen is blank and when I try to do anything on installer it says "Main script execution failed!"

restore in itunes

A restore is your best bet. Something similar happened to me a week or two ago due to moving apps. I had to Restore.

without itunes restore we´d have a lot of f*cked up iphones.....lol
