problem with downloading ipsw

whenever i try to download an ipsw when i finishes it always gets unziped. then when i try to rezip it and change it to an ipsw pwage doesnt recognize it. also when it gets unziped it is called iphone 1_1,. what can i do to fix this?

If you're on a MAC and using Safari.
In Safari-prefs-general, Uncheck "open 'safe' files after downloading".
That would fix the auto unziping thing.

thanks!! i was having this problem as well and was about to throw the iMac through the window!!
