Weather and Stocks Background

Hello everyone. I've very much been enjoying the very nice summerboard themes you've all been providing. However, when launching I notice that the black backgrounds of the stocks and weather applications zooming in is a little jarring. I'm wondering if there is a way to get rid of them or replace them with a transparent background so that those two apps look a little nicer with a custom springboard background.
I've tried modifying/moving/deleting the Background.png file from stocks with the MobileFinder but nothing happens. Firmware 1.1.1
