Just trying to find out of its possible for one...and then if you have please tell me what you had to do...
I've tried socks proxy stuff...but all I get is error messages...
I'm guessing its because t-zones uses port 8080 and socks is using 1080...

It is possible if a proxy chain (cascading proxies) is set up correctly. See has anybody gotten tethered Iphone to the web with $5.99 tzones internet hack?

P.S. I cannot see the iphonemodem supports cascading the t-zones proxy (port 8080) over the SOCKS (port 1080), so the iphonemodem most likely works only in normal cases but not here.

I used this guide and can connect with my mac with no problems I can only surf using safari but its ok in a pinch.

Do you use T-Mobile sim card and subscribe to the $5.99 T-zones/T-MobileWeb which needs the hack/patch for the iPhone itself to surf the web? I guess iPhoneModem won't work in this case, but you may be subscribed to the $19.99 one.

I use TZones without the hack and the new epc APN. No other hacks applied, I connect and can surf thru safari, email and im services dont work.

As soon as I put in new apn: epc.tmobile.com everything started working.

Here's what I have..... Iphonemodem, T-zones hack, apn: epc.tmobile.com, and safari on mac. Works perfectly and safari on mac is faster on edge than iphone!!??

get it in cydia... super easy to set up and works like a charm... make sure your phone is plugged in because it drains it fast..
