iTunes Disabled GPS in Egypt region, anyhelp 4 enable it back?

to market the iPhone 3G in a prohibited GPS country like Egypt they disabled the GPS modem trough iTunes once the iPhone activated from Vodafone Eg.
then it uses the normal Google maps without GPS, and it does the same if u use it in any other country, at the same time i have an unlocked iPhone using the same Vodafone network and it just works fine with the GPS in Egypt.
so is there anyway 2 enable the GPS back?
