you can just add it by going to settings, mail, contacts calendars add account... other, add mail account put your name email password and it will be validated

I cant get push to work with my hotmail. Does it normally work?

Why is there a how-to? I did it like any other Email Account and it works perfect.

Because you used to have to forward Hotmail to another account to get it on your phone. That's why.
