This is a quick tutorial on how to install SSH using a windows machine.

All credit goes to tnate true's blog over at cre.ations.net

THING YOU WILL NEED TO HAVE FOR THIS PROJECT
1. Nate True's iPhone SSH Kit [Download]
2. WinSCP [Download]
3. Your phone should be jailbreak'd

Step 1
Unzip the sshkit.zip

Step 2
double click on the sshify-windows.bat

Step 3
You should see the following then turn off the power by hold the power button until the red slider appears, then slide. Turn back on

Hello, this batch file will install and enable a SOCKS server on your iPhone.

Press and hold the Power button on your iPhone until it shows the "slide to turn
off" red slider.
Slide it, wait for the phone to turn off, and press the power button to turn it
on again.

** IF ITUNES STARTS UP CLOSE IT AND ANY OTHER WINDOWS ASSOCIATED WITH THE IPHONE **

Step 4
Press any key to start it up again. Then you should see the following:

iPhoneInterface v0.3.1 built on Jul 14 2007

Waiting for phone... established.
iPhone state: Activated

Restart your phone once more. After that, you're done!

Step 5
Same like before power down the phone and turn it back on, then press any key.

** IF ITUNES STARTS UP CLOSE IT AND ANY OTHER WINDOWS ASSOCIATED WITH THE IPHONE **

Thats it, your done. your phone is now open to SSH

Standard username is : root and the password is : dottie

There are other tutorials that can teach you how to change the username and password. Im sure your wondering, we didnt use WinSCP why did we need to download it? You can now use WinSCP via Wifi to connect to your phone with it being docked. You will also use this program to change the permissions on files as well as edit files.

Not sure why you'd want to with so many superior methods these days.

File transfer via SSH is archaic.

But my question is how to connect now to iPone to load or change files,,, what host name I should use

Your ip address is your host name
