What am I doing wrong with Winterboard??

OK..not a noob at modding phones or anything but a slight noob here just getting into customizing my iPhone 2G..
Here's the problem..I've looked through guides and faqs and everything but I'm getting something different..
Installed Winterboard through Cydia..
All I get when I open WB is a screen with one of the themes I installed..
There's no like "homescreen" type thiing or menu or anything like that.
Every guide I read that says what it will show is the same but mine doesn't show any of that.
Just a list of the two themes I installed from Cydia, iGlassSol and Deep.
Can anyone help me out here..I've removed and reinstalled WB three times..sorry for any noob-iness
THANKS in advance..

there is not a menu or anything with winterboard. if your looking for more of a menu and like preview of your themes and all that fancy stuff download WBapp from Cydia and that will help you there. if you just want to apply a theme just check it off in the regular winterboard app and then push the home button.

thanks..I know how to apply them and all using WB..it's just that when I install a WB theme from Cydia, it never shows up in the Winterboard list..
I was under the assumption that there was other options, like "backlight dim" and other things there??
Thanks for your help everyone...

oh as far as backlight dim you can find that in SBsettings app from bigboss. that will allow you to do that. advanced options for winterboard are located in WBapp though. please feel free to ask any other question and if i helped you its helps me if you click the thanks button.

Yeah that's exactly what I'm trying to do!! I really don't have the patience to sit there and create my own but there are some sweet ones out there! I just keep installing the themes from Cydia but the never show up in my Winterboard list..those first two did..and now none of them will..I just want my WB themes to go there so I can open Winterboard and switch themes..

They need to go into applications\themes directory. if they are not going there find out where they are and then move them there....it should work out for you
