IfastSwitch by Screw is a NICE app that brings easy, fast (not always, for the current version at least) and cool looking acces to wifi/bluetooth/ssh/airplane controls, and respring/reboot/switch off too. Before installing it, always remember to install the latest screwcommon (it wont work otherwise, and different screwcommon versions may [and most definitely WILL] give different options and results).

Originally the app had only wifi/bt/airplane controls (that worked by tapping on them ONCE) and switch off/reboot/respring buttons that worked with a double tap. Also, in every version, there’s an “info” box that takes a little while to load. Initially also,  the app was “started” by swiping your finger “diagonally” (it actually worked from up to down or right to left too) from the top  right corner of the screen, bellow the status bar. The app “slided” from right to left, but latter that changed to a diagonal slide,  to match the idea of diagonally sliding your finger i guess. Latter on, the way of “invoking” the app changed to a downward slide from the status bar, so now you can use it anytime there’s a status bar displayed (ifastswitch stays on top of the screen, leaving only the dock area viewable {and controllable}). To close the app you simply double tap anywhere there’s no buttons (on the app, of course) Since the introduction of the SSH control, i have noticed a lag between the app being fully on the screen and the moment it starts responding. This lag is “random”, because sometimes its before the buttons “status” is detected, sometimes is after that, and it can even be after the info box is “filled”.

In the latest versions also, taping on the single tapp controls, has an animation to indicate the tap, not only the color change like before (you can somewhat see it on the 2 picks showing how turning it on and off looks). Also “new” to the latest versions (of screwcommon mostly) there’s a BUG that causes the screen to “stop responding”, but only on  the area that’s covered by ifastswitch, and its because sometimes you accidentally launch the app but it refuses to appear, and the area covered by the “invisible” app cannot be used. To “recover” from this you must double tap anywhere you would double tap to close the app. Then respring, and ifastswitch works again.

You can get the app from http://i.danstaface.net.
