Please note that this was done on a stand in line on launch day phone, that was upgraded to 1.1.3 + jailbreak.

Im currently running

Windows XP MC

Firmware 1.1.3 + jailbreak

iTunes 7.6

ZiPhone 2.5 [Download]

• Make sure ZiPhone is unziped and ready to launch.

How To

Step 1.

• Dock iPhone and Launch iTunes

Step 2.

• Click on the RESTORE button in iTunes

Step 3.

• Click on the RESTORE AND UPDATE button in the pop-up window

Step 4.

• Allow iTunes to restore and upgrade your iPhone to 1.1.4

Step 5.

• Lauch ZiPhone 2.5

Step 6.

I have AT&T so I will not be unlocking my iPhone just jailbreak

• Click on Don't Unlock

Closing Notes

I have not tested this with any other configurations of the iPhone (ie OTB 1.1.3, non-jailbreaked and lower firmware versions). If you have and can confirm that this same process works, please post it here under WORKS WITH heading. I would post screenshots but I have no clue how to :) But Im fairly sure that you dont need screenshots for this, if you cant do this you may want to consider waiting for the SDK ;)

1. Original iPhone 8gb, Firmware: 1.1.3 + jailbreak
2. Original iPhone 8gb, Firmware: 1.1.1 restored/upgraded to 1.1.4 + jailbreak + activate + unlock
